Student Managed Care Information

Carriers that sell insured health plans in Massachusetts that include certain "managed care" requirements must obtain "Accreditation" from the Division of Insurance. Managed care is a system of health care that relies on utilization and cost of services to measure performance. Our goal is to offer a managed care delivery system that provides participants with access to high quality, cost-effective health care.

Since several of our carriers have obtained Accreditation, we are required to comply with various managed care laws. We continually review our policies and procedures for Utilization Managment, Quality Improvement and Preventive Health.
